Day 12

"The customs and fashions of men change like leaves on the bough, some of which go and others come." - Dante Alighieri

The day for this day was suggested by Resh and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. The theme was supposed to be "Indian Rani"... Rani means Queen in Hindi for those of you wondering what it means :].

I now also have the utmost respect for women who can wear this in India. It was 80 something here and I was sweating bullets after only wearing the lengha for a few minutes. How women can wear these things for hours and still look so elegant, I have no idea. My mom was also overjoyed when she saw me wearing it. The thought of me putting on Indian clothing without being forced to by her put her in quite a peachy mood for the rest of the day.

:D

Outtakes:

Day 11

"Without enough sleep, we all become tall two-year-olds." -JoJo Jensen

It is really awkward taking pictures of yourself while pretending to sleep ahaha. I found the notion so funny that I would start cracking up every few seconds... there were many ruined shots :P. Also to answer y'all's question: no, I don't go to sleep with make-up on. That's horrendous for your skin (so if you do it... stop!!! >;o ).

P.S. If you aren't familiar with TWLOHA, here is the organization's site: http://www.twloha.com/. Read it. Love it. Live it. TWLOHA.

Outtakes and shenanigans:

I prefer this picture to the one that I chose for day 11, but the Love was cut off so I couldn't choose it.

Day 10

"Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." -Kahlil Gibran

Ahaha, so I have been slightly lazy (and busy!), so this blog hasn't been updated in a few days. I'm also not a big fan of this picture. There is something about the colors and the quality of the picture that I am uncomfortable with. :[

Day 9

"A man, tall and thin, and ghastly pale... I crept behind It, and gave It my knife; but the knife went through It, empty as the air."

- Bram Stoker, Dracula

Hehehe vampires are fun :D

Day 8

"Peace is not something you wish for; It's something you make, Something you do, Something you are, And something you give away." - Robert Fulghum

See?! I'm being true to my word... Day 8 as promised haha. It all started out when I painted it to look like a nose bleed so I could scare my mom (don't ask... very long story that I won't bother to elaborate on). It eventually turned into this... which my maternal unit was more approving of.

I had a blast washing the paint off too... it left a faint red imprint where ever it touched me skin... so I have the grooviest red facial hair atm.

Edit: Using mass amounts of lotion works in getting face paint off. No more red moose-tache sillyness. Score.

Day 7

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." - Buddha

Aight, here's the low-down. My camera's battery charger was MIA so I was unable to take pictures, but since it finally decided to return home to me... I'm able to continue 100 days of Summer. So all you silly pumpkins get off mah back about this whole shindig, I updated, be happy :D

Outtakes:

I'm a goose and I didn't realize the camera was going to take a picture:

Day 6

“Envy consists in seeing things never in themselves, but only in their relations. If you desire glory, you may envy Napoleon, but Napoleon envied Caesar, Caesar envied Alexander, and Alexander, I daresay, envied Hercules, who never existed.” - Bertrand Russell

Ahahahaa, this was so fun to photoshop. Sadly it is 95% of what I had envisioned. I wanted snakes coming out of my hair but it was just too frustrating/time consuming to lasso them and then try to angle them the proper way. So it's not what I had hoped it to be, but I am generally pleased nonetheless.
